Just south of Bayfield on HWY 13 is a wonderful beach. When the wind is just right some nice waves come rolling in strong. Great spot in the summertime for walking and swimming.

Silver Anniversary
Another Anniversary in Bayfield! The Bigtop is 25 years old. The tent raising for the new season was yesterday. There are some really good shows this year. Something for everybody. I see several that really catch my interest. It really is incredible who comes to the ski hill to play in the big tent. I'm sure some of these acts believe Bayfield is out back of beyond. 20 years in Bayfield!
What has been in Bayfield twenty years? Apostle Highlands Golf Course! Hard to believe as it seems it just opened. It's listed as having the best views of water in Wisconsin. Which it certainly has some incredible scenery. I have golfed there a few times but my golfing is a insult to the course. But if you golf poorly you can still enjoy the view.

Full moon and daffodils
If we are lucky enough to have a clear evening when the moon is full people near the bay or channel get to see the moon reflecting on the water. Bayfield in Bloom was a good success and the daffodils were in complete bloom with excellent timing.Monday, May 9, 2011
The dinosaurs are back.
Sometime during the winter or during a spring storm a dinosaur washed up on Bayview Beach south of Bayfield. Not sure which type of dinosaur? When paddling along the shore last summer I saw many of these in about 25 feet of water. Ancient old dinosaurs from when the big white pines grew along the shoreline which has eroded away.
